DATE: 2023-04-29
AO: Eagle’s Nest
Q: Dovetail
PAX: Corn Stock Mac Walt Wax On Blip Capsized Skid Audit Slice Piccolo, Spike, Cordell
FNGs: Dominic, Casey, Dave, Dave, Gene, Jon, Brandon, Christian, Asher, Bryson, Garth, Antonio
COUNT: 13
MOLESKINE:
Being this was the launch of both F3 Tucson and the Eagle’s Nest AO, we had a lot of intros and things to cover. Every HIM was at least 5 minutes early! Talked through the founding of F3, principles, disclaimers, a few terms (Q, Pax, HIM, the 6), and calling exercises, and then jumped into a warmup.
Casey (Capsized) queried F3 Nation about launching just a couple days after YHC (Dovetail, QIC) did, even with no prior F3 experience, and showed up with his own FNG, Dominic (later Piccolo).
Other Pax were EH’d by Dovetail from Vail Christian Church, as well as Dave M (Skid), who was the designer of our region logo.
Very little mumble chatter from the Pax, but expect that to not be the case next time around. Everyone got the hang of cadence and counting right fast.
WARMUP:
Mosey around the baseball field. Was going to indian run, but with 13 pax, we were stretched out!
Good Mornings
SSH
Imperial Walkers
Hillbillies
Sir Fazzio Arm Circles
Chinook
Squats
THE THANG:
Started with an Ark Loader – Bear Crawl out about 30 yds (plank hold for the 6), Crab Walk back (PH for the 6) / Duck Walk out (Squat Hold), Frog Jump back (SH). Interspersed a few 10-counts.
Moseyed over to the pavilion to crowd us all around the 4 dilapidated picnic benches for a 10-per round of:
Irkins
Step-Ups
Derkins
Dips
Then out to the baseball diamond where YHC had put a clay pigeon with an exercise Sharpied on at each base. Split into 4 groups, with Home Plate keeping the cadence with 10 burpees. When home plate group was done, everyone rotated until every group had done burpees. No one cracked any jokes about the bases.
1st base: Jump Squats
2nd base: Peter Parker Pushups
3rd base: J-Lo’s
If there had been time, was going to subject the Pax to some Blackjack with Dead Bugs and Merkins, but for the sake of time and in the hopes of some FNGs returning next week, decided to move on to Mary and the extensive naming needed.
MARY:
Boat Canoes, American Hammers, X-Man Crunch, LBCs, Low Slow Flutter, then had a couple Pax suggest a couple. Skid threw out Shoulder Taps, and Piccolo did Heels to the Heavens.
