Nice big group this morning all eager to NOT do B.O.M.B.S. Popper showed up to his first AO, by Wax On but we were happy to have him (and knew Wax On was downrange hiking with his 2.0s)

Warm-Up:
SSH, Good Mornings, Daisy Pickers, Overhead Claps, Seal Claps, 12 punches, increasingly faster, while in a horse-riding stance. Straight punch, uppercut, backfist, hook.

The Thang:

Start out with the hardest thing, and the rest of the workout will be a breeze!
Bataan Death Crawl – PAX bear crawls, one does 5 burpees, then runs to catch up, taps the last guy, continues to the front of the line, and bear crawls. Go until all PAX have bear crawled. Sure to generate some mumble chatter.

Superhero Smackdown – a “MARVEL-ous” variety of superhero-themed exercises, as many rounds as needed until time runs out. Mosey in between rounds.
• Spiderman merkins
• X-man situps
• Superman merkins (I know, Superman is DC, but “DC-velous” is incoherent and “DC-rific” just sounds stupid
• Mr. Freeze (actually called the “Cooler”) – side plank, raise the leg, lower it, then tuck the knee in, then back out. 4 IC x 10
• Squat thrust (with coupon)
• The Wolverine – A big-boy burpee fit for a super-hero: From standing position, drop to plank, one merkin, left knee tuck, merkin, right knee tuck, merkin, stand, jump, overhead clap. That’s one. Rinse. Repeat.
• Terminator/Schwarzenegger – with a coupon, do 10 each of Curls for the Girls, Ru-Rows, Wonderbras, and Overhead Press
• Werewolf – downward facing dog to updog in one smooth motion
• Joker – like hillbillies, but jumping leg to leg, arms up in the air
• Black Widow – In a squat, step forward 1-2, then back 1-2, double-punch to double overhead clap x 10 (4ct IC), then 4 steps/4 punches/4claps x 10 (8-ct IC), then 6/6/6
• Man Makers (with coupon)
On the second round we got as far as the Terminator before having to call an audible for time.

Mary:
• James Bonds – On your 6, feet off the ground, hands in front like 007’s PP7 for 10-count, then to the right for 10, then left for 10

Announcements:
Capsized launching a central Tucson AO on July 1. “Off the Books” (OTB) at first, then once stable we’ll have a big convergence launch.
June 24, 9-11am work party @ Caring Ministries, Tucson’s largest faith-based food pantry. 2.0s welcome, so bring the kids!

COT:
Prayers for safe trip back to LA for Giants, and for Sticks (CareBear’s 2.0) who will be in Houston all summer by himself to finish some school stuff.
Talked about how when our Ms (and other women) come to us with a problem, how they feel about the problem is the problem, and that we need to fix our urge to fix it, as being a listener and showing empathy is really what will solve the problem; they want us to be there for them, not solve a problem (unless it’s getting something off a high shelf).
