Brief introduction into the basics of Tai Chi as we began our cultural journey

THE THANG:

Everyone except two people got a card with a location and workout (list below). They are to do the workout until someone without a card comes up to them. They do 5 reps of the exercise together and the card gets transferred to the other person. The now card-less person finds someone else to workout out with.

Done in 2 rounds to experience more of the world

Brief interlude between the two rounds brought to us by British Zumba. PAX got on their 6. While “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles plays, PAX screams “Abs” when the songs sings “Love” and does a sit up. After an excruciating number of needless repetitions at the end of the song, some Mary debt was paid off.

The word of the week was “Language”. Language is a powerful tool in the hands of a leader who knows the importance of the words they are saying having the same definitions as the words that are being received. It is also important to keep an eye out for the voiceless and give them a voice as well.

Take home question: Where are spaces in your day to day life where you let the power of language go? Where can you be a culture maker and influence the language of the people around you?
