Another stalker….uh…I mean fan…materialized out of this morning’s gloom, this time Wax On from Tucson. That makes 4 unique downrangers this week, another La La Land record broken! Now it was time to make the downranger suffer and regret ever showing up! Exploratory mosey around The Dream Machine stopping at different points for pain stations featuring a variety of warm-up exercises. Dodge the pack of coyotes trying to close in on us. Main event: Tag You’re It. A variation of Jack and Jills except PAX alternate between new exercises between each run up the hill. Keeps the Q on his toes having to think up new exercises every 30 seconds while the PAX are completing the loop. Great way to keep the sweat going! For the uninitiated: Break into groups of 2. One Pax runs an indicated course, commonly up a hill or stairs while the other does exercises on their own. When the first PAX finishes the course the second PAX goes. New exercise called by the Q after both partners finish. Exercises included the regular garden variety of merkins, SSHs, big boy sit ups, WWI sit ups, Carolina dry docks, air squats, planks, flutter kicks, scissors and box cutters, among others. Tried some hard core broga poses which did their job. Learned a new hand stretch (yes, a hand stretch) and one new exercise from Tucson called 1-2 sit-ups which will be used again in F3L3.
